High Peak Borough rent deposit schemes

With the goal of preventing homelessness in the High Peak Borough, the council offers different schemes to residents on a low income. One is the bond guarantee, and this will help the person pay the deposit that is due. Another option is the ongoing advice provided, which will also include assisting the family on a low income with applying for benefits.

These programmes are provided by the Homeless Prevention Officer at the High Peak Borough Council. This individual works as part of a team of specialists that administer the various government funded housing schemes. If someone is not eligible for the options noted above or below, then they can often signpost the applicant to other services.

Private sector schemes in High Peak Borough

This is often used by those families that can’t access social housing. There are limited number of government homes available, and they often fill up.
