Services from Jesus Centre in Northamptonshire

The Northampton Jesus Centre uses both social workers and volunteers to support vulnerable people across Northamptonshire. The charity can provide basic needs, such as food or a piece of clothing, but they also try to provide more than that. That may include help with debt arrears or job placement. This is mostly what the Step Up Scheme is for.

The Community Cafe is open to the general public. Not only will there be a low cost, or maybe free meal provided, but there are other services as well. The Jesus Centre will serve toasted sandwiches, Main-course meals, salads, soup, and more. The client can also be given a voucher to a local Northamptonshire food bank for long term assistance.

Other services are also available at the cafe. Guests can use the site to access the internet for free. So they can also use computers for CV creation. There are also newspapers with adverts for jobs, workshops on saving money, and more.

People that need practical support can also get a meal at the same time. This type of support will include clothing or blankets for the homeless. Other services include a shower on site as well as laundry facility for the homeless in Northamptonshire to use. Free haircuts are also given at the charities Step-up Desk.

Jesus Centre Step-Up Scheme is for clients to help them improve their circumstances. The charity provides advice and other support from this in an effort to help families on a low income make a change. There are several services available from this, as follows.

Workshops will also help them improve budgeting skills.

Refugees and immigrants can use the Step-Up Scheme to help them adapt to life in the UK. The newcomer can learn about everything from employment to how to find housing. Specialists from the Jesus Centre provide this assistance to those who need it.
