The UK Bill Help Clearinghouse is finally a reality!

We have finally “broken ground” on the UK Bill Help Clearinghouse. This online repository represents a huge step in bringing the benefits to those who need help the most.

Compiling data on the many hundreds of benefit programmes and charities that serve the UK has been a huge task, but we are finally seeing the fruits of this labour. It has been a long and steady process and we now have the means for making this goal a reality.

The project began as a dream of one of the Directors at Personal Financial Network. That agency currently provides information on hundreds of rental assistance programmes that serve American citizens. At the time, the agency simply did not have enough data on British agencies that could meet the needs of the UK citizens that were asking for help from across the pond.

However, after substantial resources were poured into data collection and the appropriate personnel were assigned to the task, we are finally making this effort a reality. It will be a slow and steady process in bringing all of these resources to light, but we are committed to the job.

Initially we are focusing on emergency rental assistance programmes, since so many citizens are reporting problems with paying their rent due to an unforeseen hardship. As we gain steam, additional agencies and benefit programmes will cover such needs as help with electricity and water, food, clothing and even petrol. All household bills will be included, making this one of the most comprehensive bill help resources available.

Other resources will focus on debt assistance programmes, including legal aid, child support, student loans and repossessions. The goal is to provide each person with the most accurate and detailed information possible so that they know what assistance they should pursue.

Thank you for all of your support. Those of you who contact us looking for help, we did not forget you. Now it is you who is being served. Welcome to the new UK Bill Help Clearinghouse!
